Zityfy is an app that was born as a solution for the mobility in cities with a community of users that promotes an efficient use of vehicles. Connect drivers with passengers to share trips by car or motorcycle within the city.
Tell the community who you are and what is your project about:
Zityfy Mobility S.L. was born in 2018 with the aim of optimizing the urban mobility of citizens, offering alternative solutions to private transport, such as carpooling, Mobility as a Service services and digitalization of infrastructure and vehicle fleets.
● More efficient, economic, ecological and connected transport.
● Complementary to the local public transport system, reducing traffic congestion and freeing up parking space.
● Reduction of pollution caused by inefficient travel over short distances within the city.
What differential value do you contribute to the sector that doesn’t do your competitors?
1. Accounting with our algorithm, of the amount of CO2 emitted and not emitted by the use of carpooling.
2. We offer stops on shared trips to optimize each trip.
3. We have partnerships with large companies.
Who is your product or service aimed to?
Zityfy Carpooling is a solution that connects drivers and passengers to share a car on their daily journeys, thus being able to share a car with your neighbor on the way to work or to the University, thus reducing cars in transit, reducing traffic jams and avoiding CO2 emissions into the atmosphere.
Tell us about your team, what motivates you and how is your journey so far:
The idea was born in 2017. During a trip to Rome, Carlos Martinez thinks about renting a motorcycle to visit the city, but the offer that was in the rental companies did not fit their needs, so he began to outline the first platform for renting motorcycles between individuals which he called Rentingfy. That year he meets Carol Marín, proposes the idea and together they undertake an adventure to develop their idea in the Sevillian accelerator ‘The Cube’ of Andalusia Open Future.
Months go by and they run into the impossibility of finding an insurance that guarantees the transaction between individuals. At this point, they must decide whether to abandon the accelerator or look for an idea that solves the problem.
Zityfy Mobility was born in April 2018, after Carlos and Carolina observed every morning, on their way to the PCT Cartuja, the traffic jam that occurred, with the particularity that 90% of vehicles went with only one driver. It was then when they thought: “What if we could create an application where citizens could share their car to go to work? From there they began to work on the idea that, after a year and a half, has evolved into a startup dedicated body and soul to solving the mobility problems of cities.
This project solves the mobility problems of the end user, as he is the one who uses the smartphone, but it is also a tool for public and private entities that want to offer users a global solution and improve their quality of life.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Our expectation for the future is to position ourselves as benchmarks in mobility solutions, with a model that goes towards a PACE system (Personalized, Autonomous, Connected, Electrical). We want to be there, and we are taking the necessary steps to be prepared for technological advances.
How do you see the mobility sector (in the specific sub-vertical in which you work) in Europe?
It is a difficult moment, because we are faced with a change in user behavior and changes in consumption that thanks to technology and large companies like BlaBlacar are facilitating our entry into the market.
A change in the positioning of a user’s use takes time, and “education”. It is not easy, however, the technology has come to stay, as well as the new way to move in cities.
How do you think your project can contribute to change the way we move or interact with mobility?
The digitization of our environment has become an essential factor for mobility. Every time new and revolutionary initiatives to travel arise, all of them available in the palm of our hand.
Today, we live in a time when we have to move from one place to another in the city for everything, to go to work, to school, to shop or to visit someone. Most of the time, our favorite option is the private car and, unfortunately, we do not make good use of its capabilities, as it is occupied by 1.3 people on average, which generates traffic jams at peak times, delays, stress and pollution.

Why did you decide to join the Connected Mobility HUB?
We see an opportunity to be connected to the forefront of the mobility sector at a time when you can take advantage of the synergies offered by a type of partnership like this.
